A Quick Look at T-Mobile® Wireless Internet
T-Mobile is the third largest wireless carrier in the United States with more than 30 million customers. They have a nationwide 3G network and an expansive 4G network available in over 100 major metropolitan areas. The company plans to increase 4G coverage in 2011, and is already selling 4G capable phones and wireless devices.
T-Mobile Internet products and services:
T-Mobile Smartphones:
T-Mobile has several 3G capable smartphones from a variety of manufacturers, and a few 4G phones, including the G2, a successor to the first Android-powered phone to hit the market, and the T-Mobile myTouch® 4G.
Wireless Internet Devices:
In addition to their smartphones, T-Mobile also sells several wireless Internet devices that enable customers to connect to their 3G and 4G networks. They offer several USB-powered laptop sticks that can connect to their 3G network, while newer devices like the T-Mobile Rocket 2.0, or the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 4G netbook, can connect to their faster 4G network.
T-Mobile Hotspot:
As an international company, T-Mobile has mobile Wi-Fi hotspots all over the world, including several thousand in the U.S. These hotspots are located in hotels, airports, retail outlets and more. T-Mobile has three hotspot plans. One requires a T-Mobile phone contract, another is available for monthly use with no annual contract required, and the last one—most popular in hotels and airports—is a 24 hour pass that grants unlimited Wi-Fi access at a T-Mobile hotspot from the moment of first login.
More about T-Mobile Wireless:
T-Mobile has one of the biggest 4G networks, so those looking to be on the cutting edge of wireless Internet speed might want to give them a look. Their smartphone line up isn’t as diverse as other carriers, but their large number of national (and international) wireless hotspots may be attractive to frequent travelers.
